Freshman freshman book cover 150x243.jpgMr. Samuel Freshman, formerly a principal in Freshman, Marantz, Orlanski, Cooper and Klein Law Corporation of Beverly Hills, California, now the Century City office of Kirkpatrick, Lockhart, Nicholson & Graham, has lectured and written extensively on real estate financing and syndication. A graduate of Stanford University and Stanford Law School, he is a general partner in numerous real estate syndications.

In addition to assisting in drafting California state syndicating legislation, Mr. Freshman has been active in numerous California Real Estate Association committees and other professional activities, including being a member of the Arbitration Panel of the American Arbitration Association.He has qualified as an expert witness in both the federal and state courts in real estate matters.

Mr. Freshman has more than forty-five years experience in acquiring property, forming syndications, and managing real property, and heads up a property management firm that controls several hundred million of dollar’s worth of property.

This book is a basic reference and text overview of the functions of the syndicator. Chapters cover such material as what to syndicate, how to acquire the property, selecting a real estate broker, how to negotiate financing, and the tax consequences and formation of the entity.

Author Freshman writes that the services of the licensed real estate broker can be of material assistance in selecting, negotiating and completing the purchase, sale or leasing of real property. The broker’s experience, knowledge and reputation can be fully utilized.
